In my years of operating businesses, I learned many keys to being successful. In any given business, operating procedures will vary – some more detailed than others. The equipment and tools will vary in different businesses. However, there is one common denominator in any business: people.  Learning this one key has bode me well.

No matter what business you are in, it must have people to be a success. You may be the sole employee but you need people to buy your product. If you decide to expand, then you recruit people to work with you.  Then you have co-worker people and customer people. It’s all about the people. How you treat your people and how your people treat people is the one true factor in the success of any business or even in life in general.

We are in the people business no matter what product or service we sell. Learn how to deal with people and you will be a success.
